Imagine you were born in a town where no one had electricity and a lot of people never knew what electricity was, where cars were only for the very wealthy, and there were no tarred roads.
Imagine the biggest cities of the day were only as big as the towns of today, and that you would know most of the people living in the town.
Imagine you would carry a rifle with you and shoot birds by the river and take pot shots at random things around the town.
Imagine you were just over 20 and you found your self at war in North Africa.
Imagine you were taken prisoner by the enemy and sent deep behind enemy lines.
Imagine you spent 4 years in a POW camp, not knowing who was winning the war and not knowing when you would ever get home.
Imagine the war was eventually won and you found your self being taken to friendly soil, and eventually back home.
Imagine seeing your family for the first time in years.
Imagine having children and seeing them growing up and having children of their own.
Imagine seeing an Oppressive government fall and seeing a new democratic government put in its place by the people.
Imagine seeing all your grandchildren grow up and get to know them.
Imagine having to face tough challenges, but staying strong and fighting for your life.
Imagine living your final days with your partner of more that 50 years.
Imagine passing away peacefully and living a full life.
W.G White, didn't imagine that he lived it.
